Access to Google Sheet (g.sheet), tell me more!
Google Spreadsheets (g.sheet) is a Web-based application that allows users to create, update and modify spreadsheets and share the data live online.
For BlindSquare service products (Customized Location System (CLS), Beacon Positioning System (BPS), Quick Reference System (BPS) as examples) is the front-end (or administrator facing) providing a nimble, yet secure, interface for beacon messaging management. G.sheets are available on all platforms including PC/MAC/iOS and Android.
Using the g.sheet platform provides an effective way to distribute new features in the BlindSquare Services products. Example: the "Welcome" message are delivered as modifications to the g.sheet (in this example, the addition of more columns).

New features, such as new types of beacon messaging, are published from time to time. Such features are validated, to prevent data corruption. Here depicted is a pick-list for message TYPES

The master-table, for data validation, is automatically imported from a master g.sheet maintained by BlindSquare. This is found in a tab in the g.sheet called "entry values".

The publishing of the data contained in the g.sheet is triggered by simply following a URL link. This link is found in a tab titled "Refresh Link". The URL points to a specific address, this address MAY change, especially with organizations with large campuses that may be managing or merging multiple geofenced datasets

Notification Rules. One feature of g.sheets, is the abilty to provide automatic notificatiions, delivered immediatley or by daily digest, by email.

Access rights (aka Sharing) can be granted by the g.sheet owner or administrator, or withdrawn, in degrees - as well as setting an automatic expiry (ie, you can access until a future date only).

The g.sheet owner (BlindSquare in all instances) can further define access to the g.sheet as follows:

A full history, with by date and with author attribution, is maintained automatically .. including the ability to roll-back to previous states.
Retaining rights of ownership/access the g.sheet by MIPsoft is required to:
- support the BlindSquare services client and their data
- to maintain the interface from the standpoint of feature access (new or maintenance)
- to maintain the connections to the BlindSquare cloud service for data distribution to the BlindSquare app
- provide reasonable controls for data integrity
And that:
- that permission for Organization officials, to access the data, can be granted allowing them (or restricting them) from adding new access persons based on client requirements
- notification of ALL changes can be provide hot or by daily digest (to any or all users having access to the g.sheet)
- that all changes are logged by g.sheet and data, if required by an editor, can be rolled-back.
BlindSquare, as the service provider, has no interest (outside of a contract to manage) in client data/messaging.
